Extrasensory Perception: The Psychic Phenomenon
Abdullah Al Moinee
Intuition of inborn identity paves the pathway to perceive any physical phenomena through the sustenance of sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch. The perception of reality may be sensed beyond these senses where there is a possibility for conscious principles to perceive the reality in a way in which information, energies, and forces are not mediated through the recognized physical senses, but sensed with the mind and spirit. The experience, feeling, and perception extracted through the sixth sense are known as extrasensory perception (ESP) that includes robust reception of information wave through precognition or retrocognition by means of intuition, telepathy, and psychometry.
Extrasensory perception is a concept coined by Sir Richard Burton in 1870. In the 1930s, at Duke University in North Carolina, J. B. Rhine and Louisa E. Rhine conducted few investigations. Louisa Rhine engaged on excavating experiences from the spontaneity of psychic phenomena while J. B. Rhine experimented in the laboratory at a large scale. A simple set of ESP cards (Zener cards) was designed out of their experiments. The cards convey the symbols circle, square, wavy lines, cross, and star. There are five of each in a pack of 25. In the telepathy experiment, the "sender" eyes at a series of cards while the "receiver" anticipates the symbols. The pack of cards is secluded from everyone while the receiver anticipates. The order of the cards is determined after the anticipations with a view to observing the precognition.
ESP is sometimes attributed as an inborn ability that we are all equally endowed. Naturally, ESP can be gleaned as a result of personal and spiritual evolutionary level – from birth or conceiving through the perpetual phenomena in the labyrinth of life. ESP is relating to the psychic phenomena that are apparently inexplicable by natural laws, especially involving telepathy. A favoring structure regarding the existence of certain physiological properties to bridge between energy bodies of psychology and physical body functions on the firm facts which result in a psychic manifestation of the conscious and subconscious mind. Due to the limited information to knowledge, the comprehension may find it difficult to determine the cause of a certain phenomenon. Researchers say that this is because there are certain causative forces and energies which cannot be identified in the physical plane through the normal sensory perception.
There are degrees of ESP to develop perception through certain stages. Some people perceive the information in the form of images or just sounds, tactile-kinesthetic or smells while some of them may perceive combinations of these. The causative combinations may enable them in present to see and hear what happen in a very distant place or to perceive a scene of some events from the realm of past or future. Research shows that some of the people may perceive only the current facts while others can experience the past and future fervently. Applying the speed of thought and spirit of mind one may perceive only the information around their physical body when others may move out of the existence, instantaneously. The memory may be restored for some people in case of ESP who have a good command and control over their thoughts, visions, experiences, and intuition.
In some tribes, children who were destined to born in the dark, in a tent where neither sunlight could penetrate, nor any artificial light sources could pass. They were designed to start the path for the children to become shaman by their bloodline. In an explanation, research shows that the light could affect the humoral transparent ocular structures of the newborn in an irreversible manner. In such cases, the certain crystalline structure being damaged by the luminous flux. So, the physical structure could convey the probabilities of a wider visual perception and of a broader range of frequencies in the tribal process. They believed that the absence of sunlight needed to begin the process of the psychic adaptation during the birth which could be developed gradually through the perpetual phenomena of life.
The First Sight Theory of Dr. Carpenter revealed that our brains are receiving far more unconscious information. This information is ‘extrasensory’ i.e. beyond our senses to detect, and far from this being a premonition in a moment of crisis, the flow of information we contemplate continuously. Dr. Carpenter first became invigorated in psychic phenomena when he was a child as his mother just seemed to recognize things and receive visual vibes which would turn out later to be true. He later started to realize on the basis of his scientific explanations that the ability to glean this kind of information waves, far from being usual, is a part of normal functions of our mind that are intended to guide and help us instinctively. They are catalyzed by our regular thinking processes, works, and environments. It was then clear to him that most of us remain unaware of this information – until we need them through the passage of our life. Researches are going on to confirm whether the information we are receiving as ESP through some universal open-source are clearly non-local regarding our brains or not.
Extrasensory perception (ESP) is as an awareness that occurs through some psychological mechanism other than the known senses. ESP is neither scientific nor unscientific but it can be studied scientifically or unscientifically, and research of scientific studies shows no support for the hypotheses that ESP exists. Moreover, skeptics have pointed out firmly that there is no reasonable theory to explain the psychic mechanism behind ESP, and that there are experiences and historical cases in which flaws have been discovered in the experimental design of parapsychological studies. Science deals with observations of the natural world — from far off the galaxies of space, to the life of microorganisms, to the mystery of human behavior — and can illuminate the natural explanations for those keen observations. Albeit ESP might not seem like experiments scientists would examine, the results of ESP — real experiences of events around the world — remain robustly within the realm of science, and the tools of science are firmly being utilized to study the psychic phenomena of ESP.
